Hole in the Hedge

I was walking alongside the hedge, running my hand along the top of the plants when I noticed a patch where all of the leaves had been stripped away, leaving a hole through which one could look into the darkness of the intertwined branches which comprise the center of the hedge. Looking through the hole in the exterior of the hedge I could see the internal framework, the functional part of the hedge which holds together the exterior. This is the same way humans are, the same way everything is. People want them to make them look perfect and flawless, but in reality it is their flaws which show their true nature, and in fact their strength.
