Seahorses on Stems

I noticed little pink flowers popping up along the sidewalk to Matthews barely noticeable underneath the surrounding trees. Everyday I walked by these flowers and watched them as they grew and changed. Initially, they started out as white flowers on delicate stems then slowly they changed to a light pink and now they have leaves growing from the bulbs. The petals grow from a circular, hollow center making the flower look like a unicorn or a seahorse. I soon found they were called cyclamens but I don't think the name is very fitting so I still consider them as pink seahorses on stems.
