Strange Creatures

I woke up this morning, opened my curtains, and noticed a dead bird on my porch. I have no idea if someone placed it there as a joke or if the bird just happened to of died in that spot. At first I thought that someone had placed it there as a joke but everyone was just as shocked as I was. The bird had to of died there at night because it wasn't there the night before. I began to wonder if it was a drunk bird flying under the influence and happened to have an accident, or if it could of just been his time to pass and he thought my porch was a good spot. I don't really know but I personally would love to find out how it got there.

Later that day I was walking back to Kaneko and saw a squirrel standing in the grass. It looked absolutely confused! The timid animal looked as though it wanted to cross the sidewalk to the other side of the grass. The small animal had some sort of object in his mouth but I couldn't make it out. I walked towards the squirrel as it kept going back and forth trying to make up his mind. I had to stop and see what he was going to do. I waited for about 20 seconds and he finally made his move! There were only two people on the sidewalk at the time and he acted as though he was playing frogger. The poor animal dashed towards the grass, then ran backwards a bit, and finally sprinted to the other side. I had a great time observing this animal and just wondering what was going through its head the entire time.
